Software/Tips

• lv451-variable-tab-width.diff A patch for lv, which enables "-xN" options for specifying the tab width N. N is limited from 1 to 8.
• Interactive imgTeX provides an interface to use imgTeX interactively.
• fv provides a HDRI (high dynamic range image) viewer, which utilizes OpenGL/GLUT for the display and the interface.
• java-help provides functions for browsing java documents from Emacs. It has several good points, though jde-help-symbol of JDEE is more powerful.
• Cygwin
  • Cygwin + X + Japanese Applications (in Japanese) provides several supplemental applications for Cygwin and X, especially for Japanese drawing tools.
  • Tips on cygwin (in Japanese) describes several tips, mainly about cygwin's emacs.
  • cyg-emacsclient is a wrapper for cygiwn emacsclient. This enables you to send files to cygwin emacs from Windows Explorer.
  • cyg-update provides a script for downloading and installing cygwin binaries.

  • acrolpr (in Japanese) provides a perl script for replacing /usr/bin/lpr in acroread print dialog.
  • dvipdfa (in Japanese) provides an ad-hoc (but effective) solution for dvipdfm, in order to prevent Japanese strings in EPS figures to be rendered into bitmaps.
  • epsrv (in Japanese) provides a perl script for changing colors in EPS file. The script is useful to prepare EPS files for slides.
  • fixeucfontaux (in Japanese) provides a perl script to fix japanized idraw (jiv) files.
